Educative activities

At the general psychology department of the Social and Psychological Faculty of NUCPU the cultural and educational work also takes place. One of the most essential parts of it is curating.

The main purpose of curating is professional consulting for the students about their individual educational plan, its realization during the whole period of studying, organization of the cultural events and educational courses, special discipline trainings.

Curators are almost all the members of the department who:

- observe and study psychological, moral and personal qualities of the students, are aware of their necessities and issues and help to manage them;
- familiarize students with principles of credit and module system and possibilities of forming the individual educational plan;
- give advices and consultations about the issues in students' graduate theses for bachelor's and master's degrees;
- control the educational process during the session, analyze the results and the mistakes of the session, discover problems and perspectives of studying;
- take part in organizing free time, sport and cultural activities with students;
- organize debates and excursions to the historical places of Kharkov etc.

The department staff organizes excursions to the places, connected to the heroic events in the history of Ukraine. The disputes about future profession, professional ethics and rules of the professional cooperation relationships are held regularly. Competitions of different kind as well as KVN show for students are often a part of the faculty's life. Excursions to the art museums, exhibitions, theaters and poetic evenings are also organized.
